LISA Double Access

With the exponentially increasing number of connected devices, operators must deploy future-proof fiber management systems and technologies to keep up with the demands for connectivity and connection speeds.

Datacenters need to increase the number of threads, manage threads more efficiently, and perform more connections in limited space.

The outstanding features of the new LISA Double Access cross-connect fiber management system are the high connector density, modularity and clear physical separation for redundancy purposes. This system is efficient, reliable, and allows easy handling, minimizing possible damage to thin fiber optic cabling.

“In data centres, there is a constant need to move, add and change cabling. We wanted to develop a tool that would make our customers’ lives easier.”

Eduardo Lopes
Head of Product Management of Fiber Management Systems , HUBER+SUHNER.

LISA Double Access is a high-density and modular cross-connect fiber management solution with significant physical separation of incoming and outgoing connections.

This solution was designed for customers requiring fast, simple and reliable MACs (Moves, Adds and Changes) while maintaining an attractive price/benefit ratio. The centralized tethering system offers great clarity of connections.

Technicians will appreciate the simple and efficient cable handling that this solution offers. Any port in the rack can be reached with a 3.5m patchcord, which makes handling and logistics much easier.

Compared to a traditional LISA solution with the same port density, using LISA Double Access 1500mm racks reduces space requirements by 17%.

Features

  • LISA system
  • Up to 3600 ports in a 1500 mm rack
  • Significant physical separation of elements

Usage

  • Central Office
  • Main Distribution Area (MDA)

CDR 1500 – Switchboard for LISA Double Access

LISA with dual access was recently successfully introduced at Cisco Live in Barcelona. The fully equipped CDR 1500, which was specially designed for LISA with dual access, was the main attraction on the H+S stand.
For easier transport and handling for technicians, the frame consists of two special CDR 600s and a middle CDR 300 (set of three racks, see picture below).

Main features (datasheet can be sent for more):

  • 3-track design (600/300/600) for easy transport, handling and installation,
  • 3 doors – lockable separately for securing/restricting access according to access rights,
  • simple cable routing for easy identification.
